Identification

Chassis number location: Stamped on a plate on the firewall (engine bay side) and on the right-hand chassis rail near the front suspension.

Engine number location: Stamped on the right-hand side of the block (petrol) or on the left-hand side near the injection pump (diesel).

Compliance plate location: Door jamb, driver’s side (Australian-delivered vehicles). Japanese-delivered vehicles carry a Japanese domestic plate on the firewall.

Chassis number format:
