Common Oil and Coolant Leaks

Oil Cooler Hose Connections

Symptoms

Oil weeps or leaks from the hose connections at the oil cooler.

Cause

The rubber hoses and their seals degrade with age and heat. The connections can also work loose from vibration.

Fix

Replace the hoses and seals.

Tighten connections.

Cost: $30--80 for hoses and fittings.
