A70 Supra CT26 turbo rebuild vs upgrade

The stock CT26 turbo on the 7M-GTE is decent for a stock car but it's the limiting factor once you start modifying. You can rebuild it for about $600 but you'll be in the same position when you want more power. A CT20B from a Caldina GT-T is a popular upgrade that bolts on with minor modifications and supports 300hp reliably. About $800-1,000 from a JDM importer. The spool is slightly slower but the top end is significantly better.
