A70 Supra standalone ECU,Link or Haltech?
I've outgrown the factory ECU on my MA70 Turbo and need to go standalone for proper boost and fuel control. Budget is around $2,500 for the ECU and loom. I've been looking at the Link G4X and the Haltech Elite 1500. Both seem capable but I want something with good local support in Sydney. Which way should I go?
haltech is australian made and their support is based in sydney. for local support thats hard to beat. the elite 1500 does everything you need for a single turbo 7M setup. most of the tuners in sydney are familiar with haltech. link is also excellent but the dealer network is smaller in nsw.
I run a Haltech on my FD and the support from their Sydney office has been excellent. They even helped me sort a wiring issue over the phone. For an A70 the Elite 1500 has more than enough channels. The base map for the 7M-GTE might need work though since it's less common than 2JZ setups. Ask your tuner if they have A70 experience specifically.
haltech for sure if youre in sydney. i run the elite 750 on my s15 and the local tuner got it dialled in perfectly. their customer service is next level too. and the wiring looms they sell are plug-and-play for a lot of japanese engines.
