Door seal rubber compatibility between 122S and 121 models?

question

I have been restoring the door seals on my 122S, and the rubber around the window frames is perished. I found a wrecker down near Murray Bridge who claims to have a 121 with good original trim, but I am not entirely certain if the rubber seals are interchangeable between the two. The body dimensions are similar enough, but I want to be sure before I make the drive out there and waste the trip.

Mate youre barking up the wrong tree with that one. 122S and 121 are different beasts. Door seals wont swap. The body lines changed between generations and those rubbers are specific. Your wreckers probably having you on or doesnt know his stuff. Ring around the 122S clubs instead, theyre your best bet for NOS seals. IPD might have reproduction kits too. Yeah itll cost a bit more but at least youll know they fit proper. Dont waste the fuel driving to Murray Bridge only to find out theyre all wrong.

I'd be cautious with that. The 121 and 122S have different window frame geometries; the 122S got revised door panels in 1967. The rubber profiles won't match up properly, even if they look similar at first glance.

I'd be cautious too!
