Mark 2 Jaguar brake servo, where to source a rebuild kit?

question

The brake servo on my Mark 2 3.8 is losing its assistance. Pedal effort has increased noticeably over the last few months and I can hear a faint hiss when braking. The servo is the original Lockheed unit and I'd prefer to rebuild it rather than replace it with an aftermarket unit. Where can I source a proper rebuild kit for the Lockheed servo in Australia?

SNG Barratt in the UK stock rebuild kits for the Lockheed brake servo used on the Mark 2. Their part number is C23867/KIT. It includes new seals, diaphragm, and valve components. The kit is about $200 including shipping to Australia. The rebuild is straightforward for anyone comfortable with hydraulic brake components. Alternatively, Past Parts in Adelaide do complete servo rebuilds for about $350 and they're experienced with Jaguar components.

The same Lockheed servo is used on the XJ6 Series 1, so parts cross-reference if you can't find Mark 2-specific components. Past Parts in Adelaide are excellent for Jaguar brake work. I've had my XJ6 servo done there and the quality was superb. They understand the importance of keeping these cars original.
