Turbo lag disappears once the engine is properly warmed up

Took the 850 up to Mount Tamborine last weekend. That five cylinder just sings above 4000rpm. Anyone else notice the turbo lag basically disappears once the engine is properly warmed up? Feels like a completely different car in the cold versus after a 20 minute drive. The boost response gets sharper and the whole powerband just comes alive. It's worth planning a decent warm-up before you push hard on the road.
