VS SS first car tip,get a pre-purchase inspection

Just bought my VS SS and I'm so glad I paid for a pre-purchase inspection first. The mechanic found the power steering rack was leaking, the rear shocks were blown, and the engine mounts were cracked. All stuff I wouldn't have spotted myself. He also checked for crash damage and confirmed the VIN matched everywhere. Cost me $250 for the inspection but I used the report to negotiate $2,000 off the asking price. Totally worth it for anyone buying their first V8.
