Rear Trailing Arm Bush Wear

Symptoms

Clunking from the rear under acceleration and braking. Rear axle wander. Vague handling through corners.

Cause

The HK-HG uses trailing arms to locate the rear axle. The rubber bushings in these arms deteriorate over time.

Fix

Replace the trailing arm bushings.

Polyurethane replacements are available and last longer than rubber.

Budget $200-400 for parts.
