MGB hood frame rebuild, don't throw away the old one
tip
If your MGB soft top frame is sagging or bent, don't buy a reproduction. The originals are better quality steel and they can be straightened and re-bushed for about half the cost of a new frame. I found a chap in Lonsdale who does nothing but British car hood frames and he rebuilt mine beautifully for $280 including new pivot bushes and spring clips. A new reproduction frame is $600+ and the quality is hit and miss. Also, always buy your hood fabric from a specialist, not a general trimmer. The correct Everflex or Stayfast material makes an enormous difference to fit and appearance.
