Midget handling, the rear leaf springs are the weak link
tip
the midget uses quarter-elliptic rear springs which give it a unique handling character. when theyre fresh the car is sharp and responsive. when theyre tired it wallows like a boat. new springs from moss are about $300 for the pair and the difference is dramatic. also replace the rear shocks at the same time, the lever arm units wear out and have no adjustment. telescopic shock conversion kits exist and theyre worth considering for a car you drive regularly.
