The 240Z was the world's best-selling sports car by 1975.
Before Datsun became Nissan, it built some of the most important sports cars of the twentieth century. The 240Z proved Japan could match Europe for style and performance at a fraction of the price. The 510 was the poor man's BMW 2002, light, agile, and a natural racer. In Australia, Datsuns were everywhere in the 1970s: tough, reliable, and genuinely fun to drive. Clean examples are now climbing fast as the JDM classic market explodes.
