Porsche
Precision engineering. Pure driving.
The 911 has been in continuous production since 1963, eight generations, same rear-engine layout.
Ferry Porsche couldn't find the sports car of his dreams, so he built it from Volkswagen parts in a converted Austrian sawmill. That stubborn independence defined every Porsche since. The 911 has been in continuous production since 1963, evolving through eight generations while keeping its rear-engine layout, a configuration most engineers said couldn't work. Australia's Porsche community is deeply knowledgeable, from the air-cooled purists who worship the 964 and 993 to the mid-engine faithful running 914s and 944s. These are drivers who understand that the best car is the one that connects you to the road.

Porsche Club Queensland
QLDPorsche Club Queensland has been the home of Porsche enthusiasts in the Sunshine State since 1970. With around 150 members and over 400 cars on the register, it's one of the larger single-marque clubs in Queensland. The membership spans everything from air-cooled 911 purists to Taycan owners discovering that an EV can be a proper Porsche. The club is built around driving. First Saturday of each month, members gather early for a spirited run through Queensland's best roads - the Springbrook loop, Mt Glorious, the Darling Downs, and longer runs up to Noosa and beyond. The club also runs regular track days at Queensland Raceway and Lakeside, a concours d'elegance, and an annual weekend away that typically draws 40+ cars. Social events complement the driving calendar: monthly dinners, a Christmas party, and informal mid-week coffee meets. The club has a strong relationship with the local Porsche Centre and organises new model drive events and factory updates for members. Whether you've got a barn-find 356 or a brand-new GT3, this club treats every Porsche with equal enthusiasm.
